Slippery Salmon Olympics 

MTA is the proud sponsor of the Slippery Salmon Olympics. Directly following the Grand Parade come out to the Olympics in front of the Transit Center on Business Blvd. Outside of the Parade, this is the Bear Paw Festival's most popular Signature Event! 

Relay teams of two individuals negotiate an obstacle course while carrying a full Alaskan salmon (dead of course) and an open bottle of soda! Teams are timed and penalties will be assessed.

Not interested in playing? No problem, bring your out of state visitors to the fun and watch the most Alaskan-Style event in town...
