"Running With The Bears " in Eagle River!

This “bear-ly” a marathon 300-yard fun run was started, because after 300 yards, it isn’t fun any more!  This is running as it should be done . . . as briefly as possible!  This race should appeal to even the laziest of lounge lizards.  You could win a round trip for 2 to Seward on the Alaska Railroad and many other great prizes!  There will never be an easier way to get a race T-shirt this summer.  Think how great it will look on you when you’re back home watching TV!   Race schedule begins at Noon on Sunday with the Official Check-in.         

The event begins with the “the Warm-Up Stretch” starts at 1PM with our friends from Jazzercise; the race starts promptly at 1:05.  You have 30 minutes to complete this race course.... you can crawl, roll, stroll, walk, or run with the Bears (and we promise... there will be bears!)

All participants receive a T-shirt (while supplies last) and chances to win great prizes,  Pre-registration fee is $15.  Race day registration is $20.  You must be present to win! Pre-registration can be done at the Chamber office through Friday July 9 and at the Mainstage on Saturday.
