A Chamber Nonprofit Benefit
MTA presents the “Slippery Salmon Olympics”Just picture it . . . 18 hoops and a very slippery salmon! Throw in a glass of soda on a tray and you’ve got a race! Teams of two race against the clock for bragging rights and a real cool trophy! MTA sponsors this race annually and this year the proceeds benefit Alaska Veterans Museum. Team entry fee is $100. Join with the St. Andrews Parish “St. Andrew Schloggers”, CABA’s “King Krabs”,”, Mat Valley Federal Credit Union “Golden Ones$”, “MTA A-lure-ring Trollers”, “Credit Union 1 Cohos” and the Eagle River Rotary “Old Roe” in the race for the gold. Slippery Salmon Olympics will be held at 1:00 PM (note new start time) Saturday, JULY 12, and emceed by Cary Carrigan. The proceeds from this hilarious event benefits a different charity selected by the Chamber each year. For 2008, the proceeds benefit the Alaska Veterans Memorial Museum!
