Rules and Regulations

1. CONTESTANT MUST BE A RESIDENT OF CHUGIAK/EAGLE RIVER/PETERS CREEK AREA.

2.  Contestant must be a student enrolled in the Anchorage School District class or private school in the Chugiak-Eagle River area in grades 9-12 in the fall of 2010.  Proof of attendance is required. 

3. Contestant will be judged on: Personal interview, on-stage interview, stage presence, costume competition, and formal wear competition.

4. Contestant will be asked to spend time during the Bear Paw Festival assisting with various activities throughout the entire weekend, beginning with Friday morning and concluding on Sunday late afternoon.  A schedule will be provided to the contestant and parent at the first organizational meeting. 

5. The contestant whose name is signed below gives permission to the Bear Paw Festival and their licensees to use her photograph for publicity purposes in connection with the pageants or festival

6. Decision of the judge’s panel will be final

7. WINNERS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL BEAR PAW WEEKEND ACTIVITIES! July 7-11 ...as well as rehearsal schedules and 4th of July activities.

8. The contestant agrees to abide by the above rules and regulations and warrants that she has made no false representation and will accept no assurances of any kind in connection with the contest other than those in this entry blank

9. All applications must be received in the office by May 15, 2010

Hold Harmless Agreement: I (We) agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, its individual members, sponsors, Directors, and members of the Bear Paw Festival committee against any and all claims resulting from participating in the Bear Paw Festival.
